Planets Augmented Reality app

 

Mobile augmented reality app (Android and iOS) developed for Tigrelab to expand the contents of the `Planets’ interactive projection mapping into the sky.

 

Participants were able to interact with the projection mapping through a physical controller, while the rest of the public could enjoy the augmented reality experience, consisting of the surrounding universe of each of the planets portrayed in the mapping over the building.

 

This universe was synchronized with the planet, reacting in real time to the changes in the planet controlled by the users. For this, an intermediate Firebase server was used to connect each mobile app to the main Notch system generating the mapping contents.

The app allows users to take pictures and videos and share them on social networks.

 

It was part of the Sharjah Light Festival 2020 and was presented at the University City Hall.
